Job Profile: Windows & Database Server Administration
Work Experience: 3 Years
Work Location: Greater Noida (Currently Work from Home)
Qualification Required: B.Tech/BE (CS, IT), BCA, MCA
Annual CTC: Rs. 4,80,000/- to Rs. 6,00,000/-
 
Roles and Responsibilities
 
Windows Server Administration:
  • Install, configure, and maintain Windows Server operating systems.
  • Monitor system performance and ensure high availability and uptime.
  • Manage user accounts, permissions, and access control lists (ACLs).
  • Implement and manage Active Directory services, including domain controllers, group policies, and domain trusts.
  • Configure and manage network services such as DNS, DHCP, and VPN.
  • Install and configure server roles such as file services, print services, web services (IIS), and remote desktop services (RDS).
  • Perform regular system updates, patches, and security configurations.
  • Troubleshoot server and network issues and provide technical support.
Database Server Administration:
  • Install, configure, and maintain database management systems (DBMS) such as Microsoft SQL Server.
  • Create and manage user accounts, roles, and permissions within the database.
  • Design and implement database schemas, tables, indexes, and stored procedures.
  • Optimize database performance through indexing, query optimization, and database tuning.
  • Plan and implement database backup and recovery strategies to ensure data integrity and availability.
  • Monitor database performance, space usage, and resource utilization.
  • Implement and maintain database security measures, including encryption and access controls.
  • Troubleshoot database issues and perform root cause analysis.
Security and Compliance:
  • Implement and enforce security best practices for both Windows and database servers.
  • Monitor system logs and audit trails for security breaches or unauthorized access attempts.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements such as GDPR, HIPAA, or PCI DSS.
  • Implement data encryption, firewall rules, and intrusion detection/prevention systems (IDS/IPS).
Backup and Disaster Recovery:
  • Develop and maintain backup and disaster recovery plans for both Windows and database servers.
  • Regularly perform backups of critical data and test recovery procedures.
  • Implement failover and clustering solutions for high availability and fault tolerance.
Monitoring and Performance Tuning:
  • Utilize monitoring tools to track system performance metrics and identify potential issues.
  • Analyze performance data and implement optimizations to improve system efficiency and response times.
Documentation and Reporting:
  • Maintain detailed documentation of server configurations and troubleshooting steps.
  • Generate reports on system performance, capacity planning, and security audits.
Collaboration and Communication:
  • Collaborate with other IT teams and departments to support business objectives and project requirements.
  • Communicate technical information effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Incident Response and Problem Management:
  • Respond promptly to server-related incidents, troubleshoot issues, and implement solutions to minimize downtime.
  • Conduct post-incident reviews and root cause analysis to prevent recurrence.
Capacity Planning and Scalability:
  • Monitor resource utilization trends and plan for future capacity needs.
  • Scale infrastructure resources as needed to accommodate growth and changes in demand.
Required Skills Set
  • Proven experience as a System Administrator or similar role.
  • Proficiency in Windows operating systems.
  • Knowledge of networking concepts and protocols, security, and troubleshooting.
  • In-depth knowledge of server hardware, operating systems, and virtualization technologies.
  • Experience with server management tools and monitoring systems.
  • Familiarity with cloud computing platforms.
  • Proven experience in AWS server management and administration.
  • Strong understanding of AWS services, including EC2, RDS, IAM, and VPC.
  • Familiarity with networking concepts and security best practices in AWS.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.

  • Knowledge & hands on Practice on FTP, VPN, IP Address, remote desktop services, configuration.

Required Resources
Would be required to maintain personal laptop, smart cell phone, and good internet connectivity.
 
Working Days
6 Days (Monday to Saturday)
Fourth Saturday Off
 
Note
  • There will be a bond of one year.
  • Preference will be given to immediate joiners or who can join within 10 days.
